I love zebras! They have the sweetest faces. I love their markings and their long ears. So, of course, I had to make one in 3d cross stitch.

I like accuracy in plush animals and have made the markings and eyes like that of real zebras.  Why use cross stitch?  Because cross stitch allows me to make tiny details that would be difficult to do by another method. Who says that cross stitch is only good for flat things? Now you can stitch a doll using cross stitch for the details.

The animal is stitched as 17 pieces which are then cut out and sewn together. The mane is added by latch hooking floss to the finished animal. The tuft of hair on his tail is added using the "turkey work" stitch. Full assembly directions and turkey work instructions with illustrations are included.
