Venus, the second planet from the sun, named after the Roman goddess of love, is our sister planet. It is the second brightest object in the night sky (after our moon) and the inspiration of poets and writers over the ages. Now you can make your own accurate globe of our twin planet. Venus is depicted as it appears in space. This planet is in scale with my Earth, moon and Mars globes, a bit smaller than the Earth. Who says that cross stitch is only good for flat things?  Now you can stitch a planet using cross stitch for the details.

The sphere is stitched as 1 piece which is then cut out and sewn together.  Full assembly directions with photos are included.

Finished size is approximately 8" tall x 27" in circumference (about the size of a soccer ball) when worked on 14 count fabric (187 x 372 stitches) The image is composed of 13 colors.

* Directions with photos of how to assemble the globe

Design contains no fractional stitches or backstitching, appropriate for an intermediate stitcher. Pattern may be worked on different count fabric which will result in a different sized finished product.
