Come on everyone, whistle the theme with me! As a North Carolinian, it is required viewing around here to watch The Andy Griffith Show. One of my all time favorite characters is Gomer Pyle, so I had to depict as an adorable cross stitch doll. He is shown here wearing his uniform, complete with keys, cap and rag in his back pocket. His hair is embroidery floss added using the turkey work stitch. And so that Gomer won't get lonely, I also designed Andy, Barney and Opie, the patterns are also available in my shop. Who says that cross stitch is only good for flat things? Now you can stitch a doll using cross stitch for the details.
The doll is stitched as 3 pieces which are then cut out and hand sewn together. Full assembly directions and a turkey work tutorial are included.
This pattern was hand designed by a professional artist/crafts person
Finished size is approximately 6" tall x 4" wide from fingertip to fingertip when worked on 14 count fabric (150 x 168 stitches) The image is composed of 14 colors.
